Some lines of my note appear in very big font

Hello folks,

Some lines of my Mantis note appear in very big font, probably because they start with a "#" (see attached screenshot).
Do you know how to get rid of this behavior? Is there an escape character that I can use?
Where can I find a documentation describing this behavior and maybe other special characters that can be used in notes? (I would like to be able to put some words in bold, for example).
