How to set up an notification email alert to the users once users added as monitor on the ticket

We are using the Mantis version 1.3.20 for one of our projects. We are trying to set up an alert mechanism for that project.

Can you please confirm which configuration needs to be set up, so that the monitor can get an email once they have been assigned to an issue as a monitor?

Please note: we are getting alerts of any updates on the incident but we want the added watcher to receive mail mentioning like - "He / She has been added as a watcher/monitor for the issue"

go to Manage, Manage Configuration, E-Mail Notifications. There you can set "E-mail when user starts monitoring", think you need to select " Users monitoring this issue ".
